The Sherman M-51 modification was developed in France by the Bourges Arsenal company in the early 60s and entered service with the Israel Defense Forces in 1962. These tanks took an active part in the Six Day War in 1967 and subsequently in the Yom Kippur War, where they were opposed by more modern tanks. The premium M-51 is armed with a 105mm M-51 cannon with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a 7.62mm AA machine gun. The ammunition includes HEAT shells with armor penetration of about 400mm, HE and smoke shells.
The Spitfire LF.Mk.IXe fighter model was developed in the early 40s, with a new “E” wing type with a redesigned weapon compartment and a new tail fin installed. The Israeli Spitfires actively participated in the Israeli War of Independence, in particular, they accompanied B-17 bombers and shot down several Egyptian aircraft.
