Pokemon Sword & Shield Special Dynamax Crystals Larvitar and Jangmo-o (Switch)

Enter the respective code to receive a Dynamax Crystal and use it to face either Dynamax Larvitar or Dynamax Jangmo-o in a special Max Raid Battle.

Pick which game you redeem the Dynamax Crystals in carefully, because you can only use each code once. This means that if you redeem the Larvitar Dynamax Crystal code in Pokémon Sword, you can't then redeem it again in Pokémon Shield.

Before you receive the Dynamax Crystal, ensure that you are connected to the Internet, because, without that connection, you won't be able to download the items.

1. Turn on whichever version of the game you wish to download your chosen Dynamax Crystal into.

2. Begin playing the game and select the option for 'Mystery Gift' from the X menu.

3. Select 'Get a Mystery Gift' from the next menu.

4. Next, you need to select 'Get with Code / Password' to be connected to the Internet.

5. Enter your chosen code.

The game will automatically save once you receive your Mystery Gift. The Dynamax Crystal you receive will be added to your bag automatically. Be sure to save your game.

The Mystery Gift will become available in the menu once you visit a Pokemon Center in the game.

HOW TO FACE DYNAMAX LARVITAR OR DYNAMAX JANGMO-O IN A MAX RAID BATTLE:

1. Go to the Watchtower Lair, a large Pokemon Den that lies at the base of the Watchtower Ruins in the Wild Area.

2.When you're in front of the Watchtower lair, select the Dynamax Crystal in your Bag, and choose to use it. A large pillar of light will appear from the Watchtower Lair.

3. Press A to check out the den now that it's active, and you can choose to challenge the Dynamax Pokemon within it. This will be either Dynamax Larvitar or Dynamax Jangmo-o. You can invite other players to join you or start the battle on your own.

4. All participants in the battle will have a chance to catch Dynamax Larvitar or Dynamax Jangmo-o after it's defeated. It's recommended that your party Pokemon be over Lv. 15 before you attempt this challenge.

NOTE: You'll be able to attempt these Max Raid Battles as many times as it takes to win until midnight on the day that the Dynamax Crystal was used.

- You'll need to reach the Wild Area in the game in order to use a Dynamax Crystal. (This occurs after about two hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary). Watchtower Ruins is located to the northwest of the Meetup Spot. Please check the direction using your Town Map on the in-game menu.

- A Max Raid Battle will end if you change the date and time settings of your Nintendo Switch system.

- You can only use the code for each Dynamax Crystal in one game and save data.

- You can't receive the rewards more than once.
