ABOUT THIS GAME

As a naked man or woman, frozen and starving on the shores of a mysterious island called ARK, you must hunt, collect, build objects, plant crops, research technologies and build shelters to support the elements. Use your cunning and resources to kill or tame dinosaurs and other primitive beings, and associate with other players or attack them to survive, dominate ... and escape!

The following features are in the game from the first day of its launch in Early Access mode. We have many improvements planned for the long term, and here is what you can experience right now at ARK:

DOMAR, TRAIN, RAISE AND ASSEMBLE DINOSAURS, IN A LIFE ECOSYSTEM

Dinosaurs, creatures and their offspring! - over 50 in Early Access and more than 100 planned for the final release - can be tamed using a challenging capture and affinity process, which involves weakening a wild creature to the point of unconsciousness and curing it with the right foods. Once domesticated, you can give orders to your pet, which will continue depending on how you have tamed and trained them. Pets, which can continue to raise levels and consume food, can also carry Inventory and Equipment as Armor, carry prey depending on their strength, and larger pets can be mounted and controlled directly! Fly over the snowy mountains on a Pterodactyl, launch allies on enemy walls, run through the jungle with a group of Raptors, go through an enemy base with a giant brontosaurus, or chase prey on the back of an enraged T-Rex! Participate in the life cycle of a dynamic ecosystem with its own predators and prey hierarchies, where you are one of the creatures among the many species that fight for domination and survival. Pets can also mate to selectively breed successive generations using a trait system based on recombinant genetic inheritance. FOOD, WATER, TEMPERATURE AND TIME

You must eat and drink to survive, with different types of plants and meats with different nutritional properties, including human. Securing a fresh water supply for your home is an urgent concern. All physical actions have a cost of food and water, long distance trips are full of dangers! The weight of the inventory makes you move slower, and the day / night cycle with random weather conditions, adds another layer of challenge by altering the temperature of the environment, and causing hunger or thirst more quickly. Build a bonfire or shelter, as well as a wide variety of clothing and armor, to help protect you from damage and extreme temperatures, using the interior and exterior insulation calculation system!

HARVEST, CONSTRUCTION STRUCTURES, PAINTING ARTICLES

By cutting forests and exploiting metal and other precious resources, you can create the necessary parts to build large multi-level structures composed of elements such as ramps, beams, pillars, windows, doors, hatches, water pipes, taps, generators, cables and all kinds of electrical devices, stairs and many other objects. The structures have a loading system that causes them to fall if sufficient supports are destroyed, so it is important to reinforce the buildings. All the structures and objects can be painted to personalize the appearance of your house, you can place posters painted dynamically by pixels, blackboards with texts, and other decorative objects. PLANT, CULTIVATE AND COLLECT

Collect seeds of wild vegetation, plant them in your gardens, water them, and fertilize them with fertilizer (everyone poops after consuming calories, which can be converted into fertilizer, and some fertilizers are better than others). Take care of your crops and grow to produce rare and delicious fruits, which can be used to cook a lot of recipes, and make useful tonics !. TRIBE SYSTEM

Create a tribe and add your friends, and all your pets can be used by anyone in your tribe. Your tribe may also reappear at any of its reappearance points. Promotes other members to reduce the burden of administration. Distribute key objects and access codes to give access to your villa!

RPG STATISTICS

All objects are created from planes that have variable statistics and qualities, and require the corresponding resources. The most remote and harsh areas of ARK usually have better resources, including the highest mountains, the darkest caves and the depths of the ocean! Raise the level of your pets and learn new "Engrams" to be able to create memory objects without the need for plans, even if you die !. Customize the physical appearance of your character with shades of hair, eyes and skin, as well as a series of changes in the proportions of the body.

MECHANICAL HARDCORE

Everything you make has durability and wears away with its use if it is not repaired, and when you leave the game, your character remains asleep in the world. Your physical inventory exists in boxes or in your character. Everything can be looted and stolen, so to achieve security you must build, make teams, or have pets that defend your things. Death is permanent, and you can even knock out, capture and force-feed other players to use for your own purposes, such as drawing blood for transfusions, collecting your fecal matter to make fertilizer, or using them as food for your carnivorous animals!

EXPLORE AND DISCOVER

ARK is a mysterious environment, formidable and imposing, composed of many natural and non-natural structures, above ground, underground and underwater. By fully exploring its secrets, you will randomly find the most exotic creatures and rare planes. You can also find Explorer Notes that are updated dynamically, written by previous human inhabitants of ARK throughout the millennia, in which the history of ARK and its creatures are detailed. Complete your ARK map through the exploration, marking points of interest, and build a Compass or GPS to help you explore with other players, with whom you can communicate through a text and voice chat by proximity, or through a long-distance radio. Build and draw posters to help or deceive other players ... And yet ... How are you going to challenge the Creators and Conquer ARK? A final end of the game is planned.

PERSONALITY OF THE BIG WORLD AND META-UNIVERSE

In the servers of more than 100 players, your character, what you have built and your pets remain in the game even when you leave. You can even send your character and your objects through the ARK network, by accessing the Obelisks and uploading (or downloading) your data from the Steam network! A galaxy of ARKs, each one different from the previous one, on which to leave your mark or conquer them, one by one - Special official ARKs will be unveiled on maps for a limited time, in special themed events with limited edition objects!

SOLID MODS SUPPORT AT STEAM WORKSHOP

You can play in individual - local mode, and move your character and objects between unofficial servers, individually to multiplayer and vice versa. You can modify the game with full Steam support, and customize it through the Unreal Engine 4 editor. See how we build ARK using our maps and assets as an example.
