Amnesia Fortnight 2012, 2014 and 2017 are bundles of prototypes made during a two-week public prototyping session in said years by Double Fine Productions.

2012

Hack 'n' Slash

Hack 'n' Slash was the prototype that received the most votes. It is a Legend of Zelda inspired action/adventure, where players solve puzzles by literally hacking the game: for example, inhibiting the game's speed to pass through fireball-laden hallways or instantly killing enemies by setting their health to 0. The project leader was senior programmer Brandon Dillon.[3] A full commercial version of the game was announced on December 10, 2013. It was released in early access for Windows, Mac, and Linux on May 6, 2014, and the full version was released on September 9, 2014, for the same operating systems.

Spacebase DF-9

Spacebase DF-9, the prototype receiving the second most votes, is a simulation set in space. The project leader was designer-programmer JP LeBreton.[3] A full version of the game was announced in October 2013 and released on October 27, 2014 with overwhelming negative reviews from press and consumers.

The White Birch

The White Birch received the third most votes. It is an ambient platformer inspired by Ico and Journey. The project leader was art director Andy Wood.

Autonomous

Autonomous was the prototype that received the fourth most votes. It is a retro-futuristic sandbox robot game. The project lead was art director Lee Petty. It was released as an expanded full free release for the Leap Motion controller on November 18, 2013.

Black Lake

Black Lake received the fifth most votes. Originally only four prototypes were going to be chosen to be made, but Double Fine decided to greenlight one more. It is a fairytale exploration game whose project leader was senior artist Levi Ryken.

Brazen

Brazen was a prototype created during the 2011 Amnesia Fortnight, which unlike the 2012 prototyping session, was not public. Double Fine decided to release it as a bonus with the 2012 prototypes. It is a Monster Hunter-style four-player online co-op game. Its art style is an homage to Ray Harryhausen films. The project leader was Brad Muir, the project leader of Iron Brigade.

Costume Quest

Costume Quest was originally made as a prototype during the first Amnesia Fortnight session, which wasn't public. Double Fine included the original prototype as a bonus with the 2012 prototypes. The project leader was lead animator Tasha Harris.

Happy Song

Happy Song was also a prototype from the first Amnesia Fortnight session. This prototype would later become Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster. Like Costume Quest, Double Fine decided to include the original prototype as a bonus with the 2012 prototypes. The project leader was lead programmer Nathan Martz

2014

Little Pink Best Buds

Little Pink Best Buds was the top voted idea from Pendleton Ward. In the game you have to uncover the mystery of the little pink dudes who all want to be your friend.

Dear Leader

Dear Leader was led by Anna Kipnis. It is a narrative game, where you play a despotic ruler guiding the future of a post-revolution Republic.

Mnemonic

Mnemonic was led by Derek Brand. It is a surreal, first-person noir adventure where you explore and rearrange memories in order to solve the murder of the woman you loved. Along the way you'll discover the impermanence of your remembered experiences and uncover secrets that are found only in the deepest realms of your consciousness.

Steed

Steed was led by John Bernhelm. It is a game where you play a horse-for-hire and save a storybook land full of inept heroes.

2017

I Have No Idea What I'm Doing

I Have No Idea What I'm Doing, was Tim Schafer's choice. It is a multi-player virtual reality party game that was led by Zak McClendon. One player wears the headset, and the players not wearing the headset play using the standard display.

Kiln

Kiln, led by Darek Brand, was the Double Fine Productions team's choice.

The Gods Must Be Hungry

The Gods Must Be Hungry, led by Asif Siddiky, was the top fan choice.

Darwin's Dinner

Darwin's Dinner, led by Devin Kelly-Sneed, was the second fan choice.

Pongball

Pongball was the top choice for the fan-developed prototype. It is a multi-player Pong game with pinball-like playfields. It was conceptualized by Kjell "lightsoda" Iwarson and led by Josh "Cheeseness" Bush.

The Lost Dev Team

The Lost Dev Team was the second fan-developed prototype. It is a single player puzzle platformer akin to The Lost Vikings or The Cave. In the game, three game developers, a programmer, a musician, and an artist, have to use their unique skills to get past various puzzles. It was conceptualized by Anemone and led by Jennifer "Jenni" McMurray.

Amnesia Adventure

Amnesia Adventure was the third fan-developed prototype. It is an adventure game with differently styled scenes, wherein an amnesiac adventurer relives past adventures through memories. It was conceptualized by Ben "TimeGentlemen" Ward of Size Five Games, and led by Jennifer "Jenni" McMurray and Eivind "flesk" Nilsbakken.

FAIR WARNING- The AF prototypes are very rough and are only for Windows machines. If you have issues running them try the AF boards on the Double Fine forums for support or email
