Five years after Season 1, the Deuce's backroom massage parlors and SRO hotels have exploded into sprawling emporiums, featuring live sex shows and peep booths for every imaginable fetish.

Among the large ensemble of characters, Vincent Martino (James Franco) now presides over a range of mob-backed nightspots while his twin, Frankie (Franco), despite his remaining a loose cannon, is managing a profitable sex establishment and Candy (Maggie Gyllenhaal) has become a rising director of ambitious adult films.
