🎉 What am I buying?

You are buying a $180 gift card. This gift card balance can only be added through the Amazon Service Chat by an Amazon employee - not through a gift card claim code! You get the original serial number and purchaser name as authentication to claim the balance.

Every Amazon Gift Card consists of a serial number and the alphanumeric gift card claim code. Gift card claim codes work only once but the card is identified till eternity by the serial number. Only legitimate card owner know the serial number and the original buyer. Gift card claim codes are like 1-time QR-Codes - i.e. for a sale transaction or gaining access to redeem the cards value once and exactly once.

⬛️ Origin of the card?

It is a personal gift card that I could not use for years since I am not US-based. Buying in the US and shipping abroad is not possible for most products and means additional shipping & import costs. So Amazon granted my request to charge up the gift card again as they could see the balance untouched for years. You cannot claim a gift card and then just 'un-redeem' the card after a short while. Amazon manually did this - on my request - because of the multi-year period. Both is tracked in the card history. The claim of the card balance this way is perfectly acceptable and cannot be reverted. You claim it, it goes to you.

⬛️ Why should I buy this card?

If a regular gift card claim code sells of $180 card sells often at around $160, you are saving here another $20, so total saving of $40. $20 for having to open the chat seems fair, doesn't it?
