The deadly Egg of Dr. Eggman (also known as Dr. Robotnik) is again destroyed by Sonic, and the doctor himself makes an emergency landing on the top of the volcano of Soaring Island.
Dr. Eggman is still free, and Sonic cannot let him capture the Chief Emerald and repair the Deadly Egg. Sonic also needs to reason with Knuckles, but the latter has problems. As the keeper of the Soaring Island and all of the Emeralds, Knuckles must do everything he can to keep the island safe. And while they are fighting each other, who will stop Dr. Eggman?
