You will need to replace the mods yourself at a workbench, because after legendary mods are installed, the item becomes untradeable. You will need Legendary Scrip to replace the mods. You can get it by exchanging unwanted legendary weapons or armor at the Legendary Exchange machine, or by scrapping them at a workbench.
