The amount of Scrip listed is based on exchanging the items at the Legendary Exchange. If you simply scrap the item at a workbench, you will receive 10 Scrip per three-star armor piece. Please note that there is a daily limit at the Legendary Exchange.

Additionally, scrapping the item gives you a chance to learn one of its legendary effects.
