Residente Evil Village 8 Gold Edition

The Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is the expanded version of Resident Evil Village, released on October 28, 2022 for PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series X|S, and PC, and later for Nintendo Switch 2 in February 2026. It bundles the base game — the eighth main entry in the series, set after Resident Evil 7 biohazard, where Ethan Winters confronts Chris Redfield in a snow-covered Eastern European village — along with all the additional content. This includes the Winters' Expansion, which adds a third-person perspective for replaying the main campaign, new playable characters in The Mercenaries mode (Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Alcina Dimitrescu) with unique abilities and new stages, and Shadows of Rose, a standalone third-person story set 16 years later in which Rose Winters ventures into the Megamycete's consciousness in a nightmarish world. The edition also includes the Trauma Pack DLC, unlocking the "Shadow of the Village" difficulty, the Samurai Edge AW Model-01 pistol, filters, cosmetic items, and the "Baker Incident Report" art. Some versions, particularly on PlayStation, additionally include VR mode and access to Resident Evil Re:Verse, the series' free-to-play multiplayer.
